I'd really be interested in how the BOB approach could be used with a more traditional game to use weak and strong moves to match hero journey beats.

For example - What could be done during the 'downtime' phase to move the story through beats.

I love your friends.

I fell into your structure organically, iterating and designing in the community. Where i come to your conversation late or now, i am not nothing saying You are having your desired effect.

From a game from me from a world and 6 months ago:

Above, satellites hit the world in orbital decay. From melting chassis new satellites claw out as booster-winged larvae claiming orbits to form fully grown data cores, arrays created already computing.

A rogue band of the billions of these satellites have coordinated positions, compute, solar cells and broadcasting into a data mesh. And they dedicate their little time in orbit to blasting illegal tunes, interviewing artists, and making a story for a listening audience to what they bear witness as best as they can.

After anyone else fi res a bullet and describes their result, you may narrate a podcast about what you just saw. If you do, draw from a deck of cards to do an ad read. Ad reads play on all frequencies, inform any tuned in on crucial information about trouble ahead, a nearby cash spot, weather report, town news, trivial information about what someone ate for breakfast, or some creatør’s creative process.

Mesa Sea Pirates Gaming Podcast, LLC agrees to read your ad after any bullet is used if your ad is drawn. Once any player uses a bullet and describes their results, mesa sea pirates agree to then describe in their own words an instant replay of the bullet’s effects. They agree to incorporate your listed product into their replay. Their replay will be heard around the [BXLLET> world as your ad is blasted unmastered into the jewel-like ears of Mesa Sea’s $subscriber_count_round_up monthly listeners. All spaces still available are listed on the next pages.
